Sýning Bæjarlistamannsins Alice Liu verður haldin í sýningarsal Ráðhúss Fjallabyggðar, fyrsta vetrardag, laugardaginn 22. október kl. 14:00 - 17:00 og sunnudaginn 23. október frá kl. 14:00 - 17:00.

In Alice in the Wonderland, Alice will show four series of pictures which are 12/12 Icelandic Windows, Drifting Clouds, The Sky of the Couple and Postcards. All of them are taken/made after she has moved to Iceland. Many of them are related to Iceland, but most of them are talking about traveling and traveling in the space.

In Alice’s work, it is hardly to find “people” in it. They are invisible, but it doesn’t mean they are not important. People can be presented by their belongings (12/12 Icelandic Windows). Absenthusband is shows where he is through his picture dairy (The Sky of the Couple). People send postcards to someone who they think of (Postcard).And Drifting Clouds are telling her family and friends in Hong Kong she is fine and keep the creation.

Besides, some selected videos and animations from her jobs will be shown in the computer as well.

Alice Liu Shok Han (1961-) was born and educated in Hong Kong. She studied painting and drawing in her early days. She got the BA Degree in School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong in 2004.

Since 1998, Alice has been working as freelancer on video & animation production and book design.

After she was married to an Icelander, Sigurdur Svavarsson in 2009, she moved to Iceland in 2010 and e took over Listhús and found Listhus Artist Residency progam in 2012.
